BEHI’s owner, Dr. Bassem Eid, has extensive international experience in ports, marine and coastal development, coastal protection, coastal zone management, environmental & socio-economic impact assessment, environmental protection, environmental management and climate change risk management and adaptation.
Acting as an Owner’s Engineer, BEHI offers high-level technical, engineering, and environmental advisory and project management expertise for all stages of projects from planning to execution.

Dr. Bassem Eid | Ph.D., P.Eng.
Through his long career with SNC-Lavalin, as a Vice-President for Ports, Marine and Environment, Dr. Eid Has undertaken and managed several local and international related projects, including feasibility studies, Met-Ocean studies, port planning and engineering, offshore oil & gas field developments, coastal zone management, environmental and socio-economic assessments, knowledge transfer and capacity building.
Dr. Eid has managed and carried out projects in many countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the Caribbean Region, and North and South America. His success is the result of experience obtained from many years of listening to the needs of the clients, excellence in project execution, high standards of quality, health, safety and environment.
